  • An elected position responsible for leading Student Government and representing the student body to University administration and external stakeholders. The President sets the vision and direction for the organization and ensures collaboration across the Cabinet, Senate, and University committees.
  • Serves as the primary student representative on University committees, including the University Governance Council.
  • Communicates the administration’s perspective to the student body and acts as the initial point of contact for governance inquiries from other campus entities.
  • Attends Executive Board of Trustees meetings as an observing member.
  • Holds weekly Cabinet meetings to review updates, ongoing initiatives, and organizational priorities.
  • Meets weekly with the Student Government Moderator to discuss activities and initiatives.
  • Meets as needed with the Vice President for Student Life to discuss Senate resolutions and related policies.
  • Advises the Vice President on committee appointments, Senate initiatives, and other Senate-related activities.
  • Schedules semesterly one-on-one meetings with Student Senators in collaboration with the Vice President.
  • Coordinates Student Senate training and retreat planning with the Vice President.
  • Sets organizational goals and objectives with input from Cabinet, Senators, the Moderator, and students.
  • Approves Student Government Reserve Fund deposits and expenditures jointly with the Vice President for Student Life.

  • An elected position that serves as Chair of the Student Senate and works closely with the President, Cabinet, and Senators to advance the goals and initiatives of Student Government. The Vice President ensures effective Senate operations and facilitates communication across all branches of the organization.
  • Chairs the Student Senate and organizes Senate agendas with input from Cabinet members and Senators.
  • Compiles and distributes post-meeting packets from Senate meetings.
  • Meets with prospective clubs and organizations seeking official University recognition.
  • Meets weekly with the Student Government Moderator to review activities and initiatives.
  • Meets as needed with the Vice President for Student Life to discuss Senate resolutions and policy updates.
  • Schedules semesterly one-on-one meetings with Student Senators in collaboration with the President.
  • Coordinates Senate training and retreat planning with the President.
  • Sets organizational goals and objectives with input from Cabinet, Senators, the Moderator, and students.
  • Represents Student Government on University committees, including the Board of Trustees Committees and the University Planning Committee, or delegates responsibilities to an appropriate Committee Chair.

  • An appointed position that advises the President and Vice President on the vision, goals, and challenges of Student Government. The Chief of Staff serves as Senate Parliamentarian, ensuring that the Constitution, Bylaws, and Robert’s Rules of Order are upheld.
  • Meets regularly with committee chairs to track initiative progress, document updates, and provide support.
  • Assists the President and Vice President with agenda planning and organizational communication.
  • Oversees the planning and execution of Grocery Bingo (fall and spring) with support from the Cabinet and Senate.
  • Coordinates Fall and Spring Student Government Elections with the Election Commissioners the Student Government Moderator.
  • Represents Student Government at University committee meetings as needed.
  • Meets weekly with the Student Government Moderator (or designee) for planning and guidance.

  • An appointed position responsible for overseeing Student Government finances, approving expenditures, and guiding the budget allocation process for clubs and organizations with the support of the Appropriations and Student Transitions Committee.
  • Maintains accurate financial records for all recognized clubs and organizations.
  • Requests monetary transfers and ensures compliance with the Student Government Constitution and Bylaws.
  • Provides regular financial updates to the Student Senate and regular briefings to the President, Vice President, and Moderator.
  • Meets weekly with the Student Government Moderator (or designee) to review club and organization expenditures.
  • Meets with club leaders as needed to provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Works closely with the Appropriations and Student Transitions Committee Chair on appeals and New Initiative Funding (NIF) requests.
  • Participates in Club Council meetings to educate leaders about financial procedures.
  • Represents Student Government on University committees when assigned.

  • An appointed position that manages Student Government’s digital tools, records, and technology-based initiatives to support internal operations and transparency.
  • Records and archives weekly Senate meetings using Microsoft Teams and OWL technology; ensures approved minutes are uploaded to the public SharePoint folder.
  • Maintains digital folder structures in SharePoint and Teams and provides access support to Cabinet members.
  • Supports Fall and Spring Elections by creating and testing RoyalSync forms and ballots, and updating the SG website and RoyalSync portal with the Chief of Staff.
  • Schedules recurring SG meetings and major event listings (e.g., Grocery Bingo, Street Sweep) in RoyalSync.
  • Conducts semesterly audits of the SG website and RoyalSync portal; coordinates Senate photos and updates with the Director of Communications.
  • Creates and maintains RoyalSync training resources and how-to materials for Cabinet members and clubs.
  • Serves as a liaison with University offices on student technology issues, including regular meetings with the Chief Information Officer.
  • Meets regularly with the Student Government Moderator for support on technology management and digital archiving.

  • An appointed position responsible for documenting Student Government activities, managing internal communication records, and coordinating event logistics.
  • Prepares and organizes minutes from Senate meetings and submits them to the Vice President within one week.
  • Maintains up-to-date contact lists of Student Government members in SharePoint.
  • Tracks Senate attendance and participation in meetings and events.
  • Maintains a comprehensive list of all Student Government projects, initiatives, and resolutions.
  • Coordinates and assigns Senators to represent Student Government at campus events (e.g., Open Houses, Student Activities Fairs).
  • Schedules and plans team-building events and off-campus activities, ensuring required forms and approvals are completed.
  • Meets regularly with the Student Government Moderator for support and event preparation.
  • Orders office supplies as needed.
  • Greets guests at Senate meetings and assists with meeting setup.
  • Represents Student Government on University committees when assigned.
